7/20/15 Fitbit Flex Review

IMG_1510IMG_1512

After roughly a week of using it, I’m happy to say that I made a really good decision in buying a FitBit! Being into fitness and just health in general and not having some sort of activity tracker is unheard of these days, so I decided to hop on the bandwagon and purchase one myself. The FitBit Flex comes with the FitBit itself, which does the tracking, a small band, and a large band. Above, the packaging has some details as to what the FitBit does, but below I go into a little more detail.

The FitBit app comes on both Apple and Android devices, which is a huge plus for me (an Android user) considering a lot of fitness trackers like the Nike FuelBand and such STILL don’t’ have Android compatibility. Above is the dashboard aka what you first see when you open the app. Everything is super easy to use and to log activity. There is a step counter, calorie counter, diet plan, sleep tracker, and water tracker. Personally, the water tracker was super eye opening for me as to how much water we need each day. Before the FitBit, I was doing a pretty lousy job at drinking water. Oh how that has changed. I drink pretty much nothing but water now except for the occasional orange juice in the morning. I feel so much better eliminating sugary drinks out of my diet, which brings me into my next point.

Who would’ve thought that just a little band on my wrist would have changed how I felt in just a week? I have been watching what I eat more closely and realizing how much stuff I thought was healthy really wasn’t. The water tracker has had a huge impact on how I feel. The FitBit also just motivates me to get up and do something. It continues to push me to go one more minute, one more step.

Waterproof and all, the FitBit definitely won’t be coming off my right arm anytime soon.

Also, how cute are these Tory Burch covers for it are??? Definitely going to need one of these.

7/12/15 Rolling Stones Concert + OOTD

Top- Forever 21

Shorts- Urban Outfitters (Rolling Stones buttons on shorts from Lucky Brand)

Shoes + Bag- American Eagle

I had the most amazing time at the Stones’ concert yesterday! Still can’t believe they are still join after playing in almost every decade since the 60’s. Besides their wrinkly faces, nothing has changed performance wise. Jagger runs across the hundred foot stage like it’s a piece of cake.

The man, the myth, the legend: Mick Jagger.

It really was a surreal experience seeing rock and roll legends just a couple feet in front of you. I think it’s really easy for us as an society to not think of these people as actual people if that makes sense lol. Personally, it’s so weird to see someone like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood outside of my computer or TV screen. It’s a good weird though. Richards is actually one of the main reasons why I wanted to start to learn how to play guitar years ago and the Stones themselves kinda kick-started my love for music which has made me the person I am today.

That’s what so cool about the Stones. They are timeless. Granted, I was probably the youngest person at the show yesterday, but their music spans across generations. My mom saw them for the first time in the 70’s when she was 18, and here I am in 2015 seeing them for the first time at the same age.

Hands down, this was one of the best concerts I have ever attended and something that will stick with me forever.

I had to get a pic in front of the iconic Sticky Fingers album art.

7/5/15 Urban Outfitters and VS Pink Haul

IMG_1487I was on the hunt for another cute bathing suit and ended up with more things than just a bathing suit. Typical Chloé behavior. Here is what I got:

Urban Outfitters:

Silence and Noise Cropped Cami

IMG_1490

It caught my eye, so I picked it up. Looks extremely small, but has a nice stretch to it and fits wonderfully. The blue color and waffle knit like fabric are simply adorable. It’s a cute, updated homage to the 90’s.

BDG Cropped Top

IMG_1491 So 70’s and on clearance for $5. Do I need to say anymore? I have been digging the whole simple cropped tanks lately and they tend to be what I gravitate to when looking in my closet for something to wear.

BDG Denim Skirt

IMG_1492

Never expected denim skirts to make a comeback, let alone me buying one that looks vintage. However, I think its a great trend for crop top and 70’s era lovers like me. Paired with cropped tops now, sweaters and boots in the fall/winter, this is definitely a new staple.

Victoria’s Secret PINK

White ‘Flounce’ Bathing Suit

IMG_1506This is what I actually came to the mall for. Normally, I don’t buy suits that are 1) white (pale and never tan problems) and 2) have ruffles/flouncy stuff on the top because they usually don’t look good on non flat-chested people me. This bathing suit an exception. It fits wonderfully without making my boobs look abnormally large and doesn’t look strange with my skin tone. The scalloped edge of the bottoms are a nice feature to what appears to be your average swim bottom and draws the eye to the top with its tiny cutouts.

7/2/15 Pool Inspired Makeup

IMG_1371 IMG_1372

I got this baby blue eyeliner randomly while grocery shopping, and it inspired me to create this super fun, pool inspired look! Most of these products are waterproof, so feel free to dunk that head under and look good while doing it! Here is everything I used:

1) Face and Eyeliner

IMG_1477

I started with my usual face routine: Maybelline’s Master Primer Blur+Illuminate and Dream Fresh BB Cream, topping it off with Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Pressed Powder. Both the BB Cream and Powder have SPF in it, which is a plus because that saves me one less step sunscreen wise. Then, I used Rimmel London’s Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Light Blue. This color is so pretty and vibrant, which inspired me to do this whole look in the first place. Even though I rarely go under the water, it is nice that it is waterproof and a long lasting wear. I winged my liner for this look, but just lining your waterline or putting a bit in the inner corners of your eye could really jazz up your everyday makeup!

2) Lashes and Brows

IMG_1478

I did my usual lash routine: curling my lashes and applying Maybelline’s Rocket Volum Express in Black. I also did my usual routine for my brows using Anastasia’s Perfect Brow Pencil in Light Blonde, but made them more defined and longer lasting with Maybelline’s Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Blonde. The brow gel ensures that the kid doing cannonballs two feet away from you won’t mess up your brow game.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my lip color, which is Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious. Although not waterproof, it stays on perfectly even in the messiest of meals so I think it can handle a few splashes.

Overall, I think this is a super fun look and would be awesome paired with the trendy cobalt blue color that is everywhere these days. Let me know in the comments if this is a look you would try!
